It’s a funk and soul-fest in The Falkners this month, with some stupendous liveband nights, and another chance to strut your own funky stuff with our Karaoke Night …

One for our younger regulars, we’re hosting an Easter Egg Hunt in conjunction with Friends of Ancells Farm on Easter Monday from 10am.

We’ll make sure there’s plenty of tea, coffee and bacon butties on hand to try to keep the dads away from the eggs and give the kiddies a chance!

On the football front it’s the sensational race for the title, with Chelsea, Liverpool and City all jockeying for the honour of borrowing Manchester United’s trophy for a year. With season-defining clashes in the Premier League, the semi-finals of the FA Cup, and it’s down to the final two English teams in the Champions League, we’re in for some serious footie on the telly.

And finally, we’re almost ready for our big charity event of the year, our Family Fun Day on Sunday 4th May. We’ll be raising funds primarily for the Rays of Sunshine Children’s Charity, which grants wishes of children up to the age of 18 who are living with serious or life-threatening illnesses - full details are available on the charity’s website at www.raysofsunshine.org.uk.

This year’s event  promises to be bigger and better than ever, with loads of traditional side stalls, amazing displays, pony rides, golf and football challenges, non-politically correct fun races like in the good old days, Elvis will be strutting his stuff throughout the afternoon and we’ll be partying through to the wee small hours.
